Hi viewers here I am presenting tasty and easy Semiya Payasam. Follow the recipe and you can also make the tasty and easy Semiya Payasam. Semiya payasam is usually make in kerala sadhya , festivals and celebrations .Payasam is an integral part of a malayali. Semiya payasam is an easy payasam and the making process also so simple. Just try out the recipe you will surely loved it.


  • 1.Full cream Milk - 1 liter
  • 2.Water - 1 1/2 cup
  • 3.Vermicelli(semiya)- 1 cup
  • 4.Sugar - 3/4 cup(according to your taste)
  • 5.Condensed milk - 3 tablespoon
  • 6.Ghee - 2 tablespoon
  • 7.Cardamom Powder - (Add 3 tablespoon of sugar and 6 cardamom in a grinder and make powder or you can use fine cardamom powder)
  • 8.Cashews - 10 nos
  • 9.Raisins - 20 nos
  • 10.Salt - 1 pinch of


Heat a pot and add 2 tablespoon of ghee in it.Fry the cashews and raisins in a low to medium flame

and remove them in a plate.Then add the vermicelli and roast it in the ghee till it changes

the color and remove it in a plate.

Clean the same pot and add 1 liter milk along with 1 1/2 cup of water.Heat the pot and allow it

to boil in a medium flame.When it reduces it into a little add sugar and stir well.Add 1 pinch of salt

and condensed milk into the milk and stir it in medium flame(you can check the sugar and add according

to your taste).When the milk reduces into half add the roasted vermicelli and allow it cook in the milk.

Add the cardamom powder and mix it.When the vemicelli is cooked,you can cover it for 5 minutes

before adding the cashews and raisins.It will allow to cook the semiya in the milk and give a good taste.

Open the lid and add the cashews and raisins,mix it with the payasam.Tasty semiya payasam is ready to serve.
